Fall Time!

Hi readers! I'm on a bit of a budget but felt like blogging so I've got some prizes you can grab at The Autumn Effect Hunt to show off as well as this adorable hat from Sweet Leonard that is for sale at Marquis Market. Now, let's talk about these hunt goodies. Cynful has out this sexy sweater dress as its prize. This curve hugging number comes in three versions: turtleneck, no turtleneck, and busty. I'm not a huge turtleneck fan so I loved the non version and am happy she gave out all of the choices. Another cute prize this hunt has is this Fall inspired leaf necklace from Atooly. Finally, I decided to share another windlight with you all tonight. If you've noticed, my last few posts were all done in a Fall hued windlight. I made this one by tweaking a windlight that I already had downloaded to highlight all of the pretty tones of this season so it may look similar to one you already have (Sorry! I forget whose to give proper credit to!) but I figured everyone needs a pretty new windlight and some of you might be a little afraid to attempt messing with them yourself so I figured why not!

Sweater Weather

Hey all! Just a quick LOTD post to show off these fantastic goodies available at this round of The Seasons Story. I'm in love with these owl poses by Imeka so much that I had to go grab them as soon as I could. I've named my cute little owl, Hootie, after an ongoing joke between me and one of my guy friends on SL and I can't help but giggle because Hootie's usually mean to me and now he obviously loves me like he should have all along! This pose pack comes complete with 5 adorable poses and a texture driven menu so you can change out your owl's color. I paired it with this Autumn inspired new release by Truth that comes complete with his new HUD for both easy hat texture changing as well as hair color changing. Finally, check out these awesome boots by Sweet Leonard. I don't know about you but I love a good boot for my Fall looks and these fit well with only a little bit of moding with my favorite jeans. When You're Ready, Come and Get It

*sings loudly* Yes, I have this Selena Gomez song stuck in my head. I think it's gonna be there forever. It's a  catchy little tone. Anyways, as soon as I saw this rainbow hair on the feeds, I had to go buy this color pack of the previously blogged Exile hair, You've Got The Love. I love colors and when I saw all these pretty pastel ones all blended together, I just about died inside and started building a look around it with various goodies I picked up at shopping events this week. The Real Me Is Definitely Unperfect Meme

I kind of like doing memes. Especially when they let us take a peek into the lives of SL residents we never talk to. It's nice to get to know people without actually umm...getting to know them, I guess! Since I like doing memes, I decided to do Rose's meme. It's an easier one with a bunch of questions and no set guidelines for your pic. This suits me perfectly because I'm so bad at putting together a specific look for a picture on a deadline. Those of you who are close to me know me as Kis...the totally random and silly, super loyal kick ass bestie who wears her heart on her sleeve and never holds back her opinion and those of you who aren't close to me, I hope this helps you get to know me. Since I'm always up for some fun on SL, I decided to use a fun image I took of myself with this adorable monkey bar set that fri.day has out for Pose Fair. Now on with the questions!

1. What is the thing you fear most in the world above dying (that is if you fear death)? Disappointing my child as her parent. I don't want her to hate me or have ill feelings towards me when she's older because her father isn't in her life.

2. When’s the last time you sat down and contemplated where your life was going, and what did you concluded from that? I do this daily and I concluded that my life isn't going in the direction I had hoped so I enrolled back in school and am trying to better myself little by little.

3. If you could give any one person in the world a wish, a wish you knew you could grant, what would it be, and why would you give it to them? I'd take cerebral palsy away from my brother and let him live a normal life. I don't think anyone should have to struggle with handicaps or illnesses and since he's the person I love most who is struggling with something like that right now, I choose him.

4. Cat, dog, rabbit, horse, chicken, dolphin? There are so many animals in the world, if you could be one, and had to think, act, be like one, with out human thoughts, emotions, perception of the world, which would you be, and why? Hmm, tough question. I'd say an Eagle. I'd love to be able to fly anywhere I please.

5. Today is the last day you’ll ever see your family. Some you may love, some you may hate, other you may not have any emotional attachment to. What would you do? Spend it with them doing what makes me happiest and just savoring the small stuff. I'd probably cry a lot though.

6. Given the chance to travel to one country -ONLY – in your whole life, other than the one you’ve grown up in, or have found yourself living in (pretend you’ve gone to no other country in the world other than the one you now call home) where would it be? Why, and for how long? Seriously!!! Just one?!!! I need to visit a lot of places! Ah, if I had to choose one though, it'd have to be Costa Rica. Everyone who has gone there has told me it's really beautiful and I love nature. I'd love to go cave tubing and ziplining and just roam the rainforest taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. I think I deserve a few months of relaxation! 

7. Quick you have to pick 5 things to take with you as you are rushing out of the house- you don’t know what’s happening, where you’re going, whom is taking you where, or why, but you do know you can carry about 5 things, in the small bag you’ve given to take with you. What do you choose? A photo album from when I had my daughter and she was a baby, her two favorite stuffed animals, her favorite blanket, and my laptop. I'd take her things because I couldn't bear to have her upset and my stuff besides personal mementos is replaceable.

8. You’re sitting in a dream, you can tell you’re dreaming, but you’re not awake enough to move. What do you see? Is anyone there? (be creative, make something up, or recall a dream you had before) I see my future. I'm happy and with someone who makes me feel content. We are sitting in our beautiful backyard on a summer night watching our kids play as the fireflies twinkle. I feel at ease and know that everyone I love is near and that they are happy too.

9. What color do you think you are? Hmm, teal. Something bright but with a little darkness to it. I am genuinely a happy person but sometimes late at night, I have moments of sadness.

10. If when it came to blogging, if you blog, no one say your blogs, no one commented, no one noticed, no one cared, at all, would you keep blogging? Yes, because for the most part, I don't think anyone reads my blog anyways. I know my close friends do and I love them for that but I don't think anyone else does unless I'm blogging freebies. I blog because it's therapeutic to me and gives me a purpose for being on SL. Plus, I love to play dress up on here. It's way easier to look good on SL than it is in RL.

Procrastination Meme

Strawberry Singh has issued a new meme complete with some interesting questions for us to answer. I usually don't take part in these because I can never stick with deadlines but when I saw this was a procrastinating themed one, I had to take part and oddly enough, I'm on time. I meant to blog this skin as soon as I purchased it but I've been sidetracked a little....ok a lot so I figured now was the perfect time to show it off. It's the newest release from Glam Affair called Zara and it's available at Skin Fair. I'm a sucker for good red lips and I feel the warm tones of this one work well with practically any look. Now onto the questions!

There's No Place Like Home

So recently Riley and I bought land and I've been trying to get it perfect. It's 1/4 of a homestead and in my opinion, it's a beautiful place. I can't wait till we are finished fixing it up but tonight we just wanted to talk so work was put on hold. I was initially going to do a post by myself but when Riley saw me dressed up in this pretty dress by Cynful available at My Attic, he wanted to be too and then of course, I had to include him in the pics because I thought he looked really hot in his new suit and I love that I finally get to use some of these nice couples poses I've collected through the months. This one is by the now closed store, Magnifique, but you can still nab it on Marketplace.

Now I gotta mention this hair. It's one of Exile's newer releases and omg! I love it! I love the soft flowy volumized look of it and the length is just perfect in my opinion. There is nothing like sexy hair and Exile really nailed it with this one. I think it's my fave hair of the year so far actually!

Danse Macabre

So I was off exploring again and found this awesome sim called Danse Macabre. It's an artistic expressionism sim with a powerful message of fighting your fears, personal development, and belonging. It's part of the Split Screen Installation Space which features two artists for a few months in a large immersive experience. I didn't get to check out the other artist's work but this one is fantastically done so be sure to check it out.

Since I was snapping pics, I decided to show off the cute LOTD I was wearing. It's a mixup of tons of newness and freebies you can find around the grid. I'm loving the broken heart necklace from Sweet Leonard lots because it rings true to how I've been feeling lately and you really can't beat this pretty version of Al Vulo's Lyala skin that is available at this round of The Dressing Room Fusion.

Catarina Enjoys Some Cocoa

It's Some Kind of Madness

So the song title is just some lyrics from a song that's been in my head the last few days. I know not really fitting to the outfit but hey everyone on SL is a little mad in my opinion. *sticks my tongue out* Anyways, I've got newness from Plastik to show off in the form of this rockin mesh boots. They come in tons of different textures and have optional tattoo layer stockings in all sorts of fun patterns that you can wear with them. As you can see, they go well with urban grungy looks like most of Plastik's goodies so be sure to get your booty there and pick some up!

Also rocking the newest Truth hair! Yes, I went and snapped it up for half off this past weekend. I mean I'd be a fool if I didn't, right? *waves from sunny Florida* Sorry that I've been MIA for a few days but I'm away on vacation visiting Mickey! Well I'm actually here because my little sister is getting married tomorrow at the happiest place on earth but hey Mickey owns this place so yeah, technically visiting Mickey. Hey all! I've got some My Attic goodies to show off to you all. I was doing some late night shopping last night and picked up this sexy little mini from Cynful that comes with different lace bra options for underneath as well as appliers for those of you who like to wear prim boobehs. Now moving on to a Kissy duh moment. I recently found out that Ploom does curvy girl poses so lately I've been buying some of their adorable little poses. When I saw that they had a set out for My Attic called Silence, I ran right over and demo'd them. I was lagging as I always do so the ad didn't rez fully for me and I just bought them thinking they were basic static poses. Imagine my surprise when I unpacked them and found out they came with this bird prop (a raven, I think?) that you could attach for pics with. Izzie's has out a new group gift and it's adorable as always. It's a sneak peek of her upcoming skin line, Faith. Revenge Of The Nerds

I Like A Little Color

Yep, like the title says, I like a little color in my SL. I've been meaning to blog this mesh dress I picked up from Boom as part of their NYC opening gift. This pretty tied dyed mesh number comes in three bright colors and can be worn either over pants like I did or as a dress. I'm not sure if it's still available but you can always head on over and check.

I'm also showing some prizes I nabbed at the SL 9th Birthday hunt. This fun mesh hair is one of the prizes from DeLa. There are two versions hidden and both versions include a regular color and a party color in celebration of the event. I liked the longer version better so I'm rocking it. I also picked up these pretty silver stilettos while I was there from My Pretty Pixels! They come complete with a skin hud for customization and are their hunt prize. Oh and check out my awesome eyeshadow. This is newness from Blacklace Beauty and comes in 5 mismatched combos. I'm loving the originality that Gem has put into this item so much and how playful it is. She's also got some new lipsticks out (not shown) so if you need a makeup fix, go get them!

Reflections

The Mesh Around Hunt started the other day and I saw lots of cuteness on the feeds so I had to make a list and go get what I wanted. So far, my favorite hunt find is this pretty hair from .ploom. called Daisy. Daisy comes in the indecisive pack (so generous!) and has a texture change hud for the flowers and hair ties. I love the hippie vibe of this pretty hair so much and it reminds me of one of my fave wifeys, Kimbra, so it's a win. If you're looking for mesh cuteness, check out the Mesh Around Hunt.

I'm taking pics in the newest skybox offering from Trompe Loeil. This pretty skysphere is available at this round of Fameshed and features a pretty reflection pond as well as nicely done scenery. I believe that designer said she was inspired to make this from the television GoT which me and almost all of Plurk is in love with so if you're a GoT fan, you'll definitely love this. It comes with or without the stand so if you're low on prims, it's still an option so be sure to head on over to Fameshed and check this out.

Nature Girls: A Perfect Wardrobe Looksie

Last night, I begged one of my two SL besties into taking pics with me. Mind you, co-blogs take us hours (I blame crashing and being too fat for couples poses!) but I love posing with my bishes so much I just have to plead until one of them caves in! My little flower child, Kimbra, loved the nature round of Perfect Wardrobe so much that we decided to show off some goodies from it. I admit there is lots of cuteness to be had as well so we got all hippiefied and snuck onto my other bestie, Dina's, beautiful SIM to take some pics.Enjoy our looks and get to Perfect Wardrobe!

*Giggles* We are both wearing the same skin but we wear it so differently. It's Delusional by Izzie's and it's available at the Skin Addiction Showcase. I love the soft, dewy face and sunkissed glow of this little baby so much and it comes with lots of extras like lipglosses, eyeshadows, brow colors and freckles.
