Hey all! Sorry I've not been posting regularly. I've just not really been into blogging these days and have been focusing on other things. I'm going to try to post more often though so here goes!

The Fantasy Collective is back with a special Winter round and there are lots of goodies to be had. I'm really loving all the accessories this round like this gorgeous necklace by Distorted Dreams and delicate chain belt by Luminary . Also, [bauwerk] has out a fantastic fantasy build perfect for all your rping needs. I just had to take a picture inside it to show you a little glimpse. Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Hey all! Just a quick LOTD post to show off this adorable outfit I've been wearing the last few days. League has out these gorgeous boots at Shoetopia and all of the proceeds of the purple color go to Soles4Souls so I just had to rock them. Plus they went perfectly with the newest ColdLogic release so who could resist!

Fall Into Fall With Al Vulo

Well, September is here and that means Autumn soon will be too. On SL, it seems like Autumn has already started and that's perfectly fine with me because it's my favorite season. I love the warm, rich colors of the foliage and the cool, crisp weather so much. Good thing for me that this round of Collabor88 has a Fall Into Fall theme this round so there were lots of goodies for me to pick up to prepare for the upcoming season like this fabulous wool coat by Ison and this vibrant satin skirt by ur favorite one.

Berry Blue

Hey all! Just a fast look with some goodies from various places around the grid. Sweet Leonard has out this gorgeous jeweled necklace and ring set. This set comes in four pretty colors including the Berry color I'm showing off. I decided to be colorful and pair it with Collabor88's House of Fox's silk romper and Wasabi Pills cutesy Claudette hair. Be sure to check out all of these finds!

I'm also showing off Al Vulo's newest skin release in Sunkissed. It's called Cecilia and it's available at Black Fair. Cecilia comes in 5 different makeups plus Al Vulo has been nice enough to place out another makeup as a free gift available exclusively at the event. Finally, today's pics are taken at Isabelli Anatine's new Kitten's Heaven sim. If you remember, Isabelli won 2nd place in the SL Birthday contest and was awarded a homestead as a prize. What Happened That Night?

I didn't mean for this to happen. In my opinion, nothing in life is ever planned. It's just a series of events interconnected to one another, some more unfortunate than others. You see, it all started like this.......

The night was sultry and foggy with a heaviness to the air. It was the beginning of August and everyone was sad to see that summer would soon end. The prohibition was in full swing but that didn't stop the booze from flowing if you were clever enough to know where to get it from. My friends and I wanted one last hurrah before returning to the hustle and bustle of the city. We had been vacationing in the seaside town of Innsmouth and although it was picturesque and quaint, we longed for the bright lights and lively parties that we were used to. Through the grapevine, we heard of a speakeasy in the center of town and although, it wasn't much, we thought that it'd be something fun and different to do so we got ourselves gussied up and set out looking for a rousing good time.

When we got to the store that housed the saloon in its soundproofed basement, we slipped the cashier a few bills and followed his nod towards the back and slipped down a flight of stairs. The smell of smoke permeated the room but the soulful blare of the trumpets from the band hired for the night drew us in. Glancing around the room, I saw a few familiar faces including that of my ex, Joe. When we had dated, I heard it through the grapevine that he had been bootlegging cheap gin to various clubs around the city so with the convincing of my closest friend, Lizzie, I dropped him quicker than you can say moonshine. Beings that I hadn't ever really given him an excuse as to why I was suddenly unavailable, I was a little apprehensive after noticing he was here but I soon forgot as I lost myself in the ragtime tunes and got down to dancing.

A slower song came on and I stopped to catch my breath before exiting the dance floor but then I felt a tap on my shoulder and a smooth yet familiar voice asking me to dance.  I turned around and got lost in the green of his eyes. It was Joe of course and in a moment of weakness, I accepted. As we danced the Charleston, I couldn't help but wonder what he had been up to in the last few months. I also couldn't help but notice how I fit perfectly in his arms. It was like I belonged there. Another song came on but I really can't recall what it was. I was lost in the moment and forgetting every reason I kept myself away from this man. We couldn't be separated the rest of the night and as the club started to wind down, he took my hand and led me to a quiet corner. He brought his hand up to my face and brushed my hair ever so gently out of my face before leaning closely and smiling charmingly at me. I thought he was leaning in for a kiss so imagine my disappointment when he asked me to do him a favor and drive some "special packages" into the city for him. I sat back stunned and hissed at him that he couldn't be serious but he said he was. Would you believe I was so insulted that I stood up and slapped him right across the face? I mean the nerve of him! He grabbed for my wrist as I tried to walk away but I managed to move a little quicker than him and I hurried up the stairs wobbling on my mules from a combination of the drinks I had imbibed and my haste to get as far away from him as I possibly could. "Kat!", he called as he ran after me, his footsteps echoing behind mine. I saw my Studebaker just yards away and hurried behind the wheel driving off in a frenzy. I went to turn the corner and next thing I know Ka-Pow! I must have majorly misjudged that turn because the last thing I remember is the flash of lights in my eyes right before the sound of my car colliding with another.

When I came to, I was shocked to see that things had changed. The store that housed the speakeasy was boarded up and abandoned as was everything else in town. Also, from the looks of the place, the town was deserted and looked like it had been for many years. Needless to say, I was very scared by now and also slightly confused. I didn't know what to do or where to go so I just started walking. Hopefully I'll find some answers. Maybe you have them....

Give Me Reasons To Believe You'd Do the Same For Me

Hey all! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Just haven't really been in the mood to blog due to personal reasons but then I saw these adorable stockings that Izzie's has out for her group gift this month and that House of Fox has released a bunch of goodies including this adorable collared dress I'm wearing so I figured now was as good a time as any to force myself to blog. If you're not a member of Izzie's VIP group, she puts out an awesome gift every month so it's well worth the 250 linden fee to join. The cat stockings that are this month's gift come with both the Slink appliers as well as a non Slink option so hurry over and get these cutesy numbers!

I'm also showing this gorgeous sunkissed skin with ruby red lips called Fujiko that Al Vulo has out at this round of The Dressing Room Fusion. This sultry skin comes with lots of add ons like eyes (not worn) and lashes for a low price so if you're on a budget and looking for a new skin, check her out. The only thing that could make her better in my opinion would be if Al Vulo released Slink hands and feet appliers!

I'm so happy they allowed me to be a member of their team and I hope I can teach some of the newer bloggers some things I've picked up over the two and a half years I've been blogging. Browsing Plurk this afternoon, I came across Nieve Thor's Musical Meme and since music is a huge part of my life, I decided to give it a go. 3. What is the last song you sing along on top of your lung?: Longview by Green Day...I sing everything I love that comes on the radio but I kind of had a drum solo with this one too yesterday...*looks embarrassed* while stuck in traffic on the expressway.

4. What is the one song you must listen everyday?: I don't have any I have to listen to everyday. I have favorites but I don't die from lack of listening.

5. What is/are the main song(s) that make you want to skip the playlist or change the station?: When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars, As Long As You Love Me by Justin Bieber, Beautiful by Mariah Carey, Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, oh God there are so many!

7.  Song that stuck in you head (doesn’t matter you love or hate): Heart Attack by Demi Lovato because it's my daughter's current favorite song. 

8. Song that you wish someone special (especially the singers themselves) serenaded only you with: Rhythm In My Soul by Jonny Craig because it's me and Carter's song and honestly if I was getting serenaded by the singer, Carter'd have to be there so he could fanboy Jonny.

9. Song that makes you wish it is written for you: :D I've had songs written for me. I'm a lucky girl. 

10. Song that always make you cry: Angel by Sarah McLachlan. They play it for the abused animals commercial here and it makes me bawl every time I hear it. Another one that makes me cry always is The Christmas Shoes by Newsong. Just listen to the lyrics and if you don't cry, you're a heartless person! Also, My Wish by Rascal Flatts is special to me and makes me tear up because it makes me think of my daughter.

Tear My Yellow Dress And Cry And Cry For You

Ok, I seriously can't get this song out of my head so yeah using it for a blog title. I've got a bunch of The Dressing Room Fusion goodies to show off mixed in with some cuteness from Tee*fy that is still available for a few more days at Collabor88.

Al Vulo has out this pretty peacock makeup version of her previously released Aisha skin in sunkissed at TDRF. I love the bare glossy lips of this baby and the eye makeup is very subtle against the warm tone of this skin. Touch The Sky With Kawaii

Kawaii Fair 2013 started just a few hours ago and has oodles of cuteness just waiting for you to nab. From adorable accessories to fun, colorful outfits, there is something to be had for everyone. This event runs till the 26th and features over 70 of Second Life's cutesy designers. If you'd like a little glimpse of which stores are participating, you can head on over to the official blog here. Or you can look at my pretty pictures and get a visual of some of the fantastic goodies up for sale.

My absolute favorite item from this event has to be these bright, playful balloon poses from elephante poses. Elephante did a bunch of exclusives for this event and I gave an inner squeal looking at them all but I loved this one the best so you get to see me floating away. This whimsical pose prop comes with 8 built in poses from simple stands with the balloons to blowing away ones. As you can see, my birdie friends from MishMish didn't want me to fly away so they came to the rescue. All goodies worn besides my purty skin which is Al Vulo newness from TDR Fusion and my hair are Kawaii Fair items so you know you wanna check out this event so you too can touch the sky with Kawaii!

The Real Me Is Definitely Unperfect Meme

I kind of like doing memes. Especially when they let us take a peek into the lives of SL residents we never talk to. It's nice to get to know people without actually umm...getting to know them, I guess! Since I like doing memes, I decided to do Rose's meme. It's an easier one with a bunch of questions and no set guidelines for your pic. This suits me perfectly because I'm so bad at putting together a specific look for a picture on a deadline. Those of you who are close to me know me as Kis...the totally random and silly, super loyal kick ass bestie who wears her heart on her sleeve and never holds back her opinion and those of you who aren't close to me, I hope this helps you get to know me. Since I'm always up for some fun on SL, I decided to use a fun image I took of myself with this adorable monkey bar set that fri.day has out for Pose Fair. Now on with the questions!

1. What is the thing you fear most in the world above dying (that is if you fear death)? Disappointing my child as her parent. I don't want her to hate me or have ill feelings towards me when she's older because her father isn't in her life.

2. When’s the last time you sat down and contemplated where your life was going, and what did you concluded from that? I do this daily and I concluded that my life isn't going in the direction I had hoped so I enrolled back in school and am trying to better myself little by little.

3. If you could give any one person in the world a wish, a wish you knew you could grant, what would it be, and why would you give it to them? I'd take cerebral palsy away from my brother and let him live a normal life. I don't think anyone should have to struggle with handicaps or illnesses and since he's the person I love most who is struggling with something like that right now, I choose him.

4. Cat, dog, rabbit, horse, chicken, dolphin? There are so many animals in the world, if you could be one, and had to think, act, be like one, with out human thoughts, emotions, perception of the world, which would you be, and why? Hmm, tough question. I'd say an Eagle. I'd love to be able to fly anywhere I please.

5. Today is the last day you’ll ever see your family. Some you may love, some you may hate, other you may not have any emotional attachment to. What would you do? Spend it with them doing what makes me happiest and just savoring the small stuff. I'd probably cry a lot though.

6. Given the chance to travel to one country -ONLY – in your whole life, other than the one you’ve grown up in, or have found yourself living in (pretend you’ve gone to no other country in the world other than the one you now call home) where would it be? Why, and for how long? Seriously!!! Just one?!!! I need to visit a lot of places! Ah, if I had to choose one though, it'd have to be Costa Rica. Everyone who has gone there has told me it's really beautiful and I love nature. I'd love to go cave tubing and ziplining and just roam the rainforest taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. I think I deserve a few months of relaxation! 

7. Quick you have to pick 5 things to take with you as you are rushing out of the house- you don’t know what’s happening, where you’re going, whom is taking you where, or why, but you do know you can carry about 5 things, in the small bag you’ve given to take with you. What do you choose? A photo album from when I had my daughter and she was a baby, her two favorite stuffed animals, her favorite blanket, and my laptop. I'd take her things because I couldn't bear to have her upset and my stuff besides personal mementos is replaceable.

8. You’re sitting in a dream, you can tell you’re dreaming, but you’re not awake enough to move. What do you see? Is anyone there? (be creative, make something up, or recall a dream you had before) I see my future. I'm happy and with someone who makes me feel content. We are sitting in our beautiful backyard on a summer night watching our kids play as the fireflies twinkle. I feel at ease and know that everyone I love is near and that they are happy too.

9. What color do you think you are? Hmm, teal. Something bright but with a little darkness to it. I am genuinely a happy person but sometimes late at night, I have moments of sadness.

10. If when it came to blogging, if you blog, no one say your blogs, no one commented, no one noticed, no one cared, at all, would you keep blogging? Yes, because for the most part, I don't think anyone reads my blog anyways. I know my close friends do and I love them for that but I don't think anyone else does unless I'm blogging freebies. I blog because it's therapeutic to me and gives me a purpose for being on SL. Plus, I love to play dress up on here. It's way easier to look good on SL than it is in RL.

Clumsy

*looks out at the icy rain leaving a glistening trail down my windowpane* Today, it is miserable out. It was supposed to snow but instead, we got this yucky rain. You know, the kind of weather that makes you long for sunny days with bright blue skies. On SL, we don't have to have dreary days if we don't want to so I took advantage of this to throw together a look that reminds me of warmer weather and the beach. In RL, I live about an hour away from the beach so if I really want to, I can just hop in my car and be on the boardwalk skating my heart out in no time.

Magic Night

I like mostly everyone on SL went to The Arcade and went broke. I kept going back for things I had forgotten the first time I went and then, I found the yard sales and yeah, you know what they say, "One person's junk is another's treasure." so I bought a little from them too. I loved the rich satin texture of this dress from Baiastice so much that I had to build a look around it. Lucky for me, I had the perfect skin in Al Vulo's TDR release of Ramona. Magic Night has purple eye makeup that complimented the dress well. This skin comes in 3 tones and includes lots of extras like the Lola Tango appliers and the pretty eyes I'm wearing. Eleonor's No Angel

Hey readers! Just a little post showing off some grungy goodies I picked up the last few days. I saw these jeans on another blog and knew I had to have them. They are by Razorblade Jacket and come with a belt hud with lots of buckle and color options. I love the fit so much that I'm sure I'll be wearing them again and again.

While out and about today, I wound up at Para Designs and noticed they were in the Jack or Jill Hunt so I area searched real quick and picked up their Jill prize which is this amazingly detailed angel tattoo. I'm not a huge fan of tattoos but I liked the wings on this one so I figured I'd show it off for all of you who like to be inked. And of course since I think the back is the best, I just had to take a quick snap of it.

Finally, I gotta mention my purty skin. It's the newest tone of Al Vulo's Eleonor called Bisquit. Eleonor comes with 14 makeups and includes 3 brow options, Tango appliers, the eyes I'm wearing, and many more makeup add ons. I can't decide which makeup I like the best but I felt like the black ones suited this look. If you're looking for a new darker toned skin, be sure to demo Eleonor because as you can see, she's adorable.
