The Geeky Meme

Yep! It's meme time again and this time, I'm doing Berry's Geeky Meme. I absolutely loved everything at Geeks N Nerds so I figured while I was showing off some of the goodies you can pick up there, I'd let you know just how geeky I really am. This embossed top from Ison is wonderful. It comes with a hud so you can mix and match out the shirttails and I absolutely love these bowtie heels from fri.day. Although I'm wearing basic black, they come in a variety of colors and also feature a hud to change the bow color. Finally, my awesome pose props are from Nani poses. I love books so much that I just had to show them off. I mean who doesn't like reading right? If you haven't been to Geeks N Nerds, there is still plenty of time so hurry hurry hurry over!

1. What do you consider yourself to be? Geek? Nerd? Dork? None of the above? All of the above? I believe I'm all of the above. I love video games, technology, gaining knowledge, and I'm socially awkward. I don't feel that I'm strongly any of the three because I know there are people out there who fit these categories better than me but I do feel I possess qualities from all of them.
2. What was the first computer you ever owned? I really don't remember! I know it was a desktop though and I bought it when I was around 18. I hate desktops now though and will forever own a laptop.
3. When and how did you first get on the internet? With Comcast at the same time that I got my computer. 
4. Which geek fandom do you subscribe to? I'm very big on trivia. I love any kind of trivia game I can play and am a vast source of useless facts. I'm also heavily into SL obviously and I used to love playing Magic the Gathering but no one where I live currently plays.
5. Star Trek or Star Wars? Neither. I'm not a fan. Sorry!
6. How Geeky Am I? I got a 72%. I don't think this quiz measures geekdom accurately though.

Forest Huntress

The Fantasy Collective opens in just a few days and I've got some more goodies to show off to you. The theme this time around is Woodland Forest and this gorgeous velvet gown by the Library is one of the offerings that will be for sale at this fabulous event. Inspired by Titania and Margaery Tyrell, this laced bodice frock is perfect for all your roleplay needs. I combined it with this highly detailed headdress that is going to be in a gacha by the same designer at this event and since I'm in a sadistic mood, I grabbed a crossbow to complete my GoT look. It's Witchcraft!

Halloween is quickly approaching and for those who practice Wicca, it's the sacred holiday of Samhain. During this time, many wiccans hold rituals to celebrate the lives of those who lived and to try and communicate with those who have left this world since they believe that the line between the spirit world and ours is weakest then.

Since Samhain is coming up, Uncertain Smile has just released some wonderful poses along with gorgeous props to celebrate this holiday. These pose props are available at the Spooky Times event along with many other Halloween themed goodies. As you can see they are wonderfully done and feature many little extras so be sure to grab them and put your own spell on someone.

Fall Into Fall With Al Vulo

Well, September is here and that means Autumn soon will be too. On SL, it seems like Autumn has already started and that's perfectly fine with me because it's my favorite season. I love the warm, rich colors of the foliage and the cool, crisp weather so much. Good thing for me that this round of Collabor88 has a Fall Into Fall theme this round so there were lots of goodies for me to pick up to prepare for the upcoming season like this fabulous wool coat by Ison and this vibrant satin skirt by ur favorite one.

Also, check out my pretty skin. It's a sneak peek from Al Vulo for The Seasons Story which opens on Sept. 10th. This juicy skin called Berry comes in 5 tones ranging from a creamy porcelain to a warmer olive complexion. Each skin comes with loads of lipstick options as well as Slink appliers, Lola appliers, and eyes so be sure to grab a demo of this baby when the event opens.

Berry Blue

Hey all! Just a fast look with some goodies from various places around the grid. Sweet Leonard has out this gorgeous jeweled necklace and ring set. This set comes in four pretty colors including the Berry color I'm showing off. I decided to be colorful and pair it with Collabor88's House of Fox's silk romper and Wasabi Pills cutesy Claudette hair. Be sure to check out all of these finds!

I'm also showing off Al Vulo's newest skin release in Sunkissed. It's called Cecilia and it's available at Black Fair. Cecilia comes in 5 different makeups plus Al Vulo has been nice enough to place out another makeup as a free gift available exclusively at the event. If you're in the market for a new skin, check this baby out!

Finally, today's pics are taken at Isabelli Anatine's new Kitten's Heaven sim. If you remember, Isabelli won 2nd place in the SL Birthday contest and was awarded a homestead as a prize. She is going to open the homestead to the public real soon and as you can see from the pictures I've taken, it's absolutely adorable so be sure to keep your eye out for this opening.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

As soon as I saw this sequined star tea length gow from Miamai for Donna Flora, I knew I had to have it. I love anything with stars and this dress just appealed to that love. It's available in 6 pretty colors and materials ready plus all of the proceeds of its sales will go towards the Love Donna Flora fundraiser so be sure to head over to Donna Flora and pick this pretty girl up.

The rest of my look is goodies I've picked up yesterday around the grid. Ison has out the prettiest updo for Hair Fair, Glam Affair is having a 100L sale on all of its older skins, and Gos Boutique has two pairs of heels out for the price of one at The Liaison Collaborative. As you can see, it was a busy day of shopping for me.

Also, I fell in love with these bubbles hanging from the trees at the newly opened Savoir Faire sim and just had to snap a pic underneath them. This sim is gorgeously done and open to the public so head on over there and snap your own pretty pics.

A Belated Happy Rez Day

So by the time I get this posted, my rez day will be over. It's funny. I'm not usually one to pay attention to that sort of stuff but I guess the marketing peeps of SL did because somehow a marketing rep got ahold of the info that it was my rez day and decided to remind me of it. Since it was a special day for me, I decided to shop a little more than usual. Someone on the SL Bloggers Support chat mentioned yard sales and since I'm having issues with lag at The Arcade event, I went to a bunch of them and picked up everything I've been eyeing up on the feeds and couldn't get without crashing. I fell in love with this Ison top and actually was lucky enough to get this before I crashed at the actual event. I want more colors but didn't come across any at the sales. Guess everyone else loved them too! :D I know I'll be back to get more of these when this event dies down a little.

Since Elikatira was having an awesome sale, I also headed there and went a little crazy, picking up quite a few hairs that didn't make it to my inventory before. Flattery was my fave of my buys so that's the one I'm showing off. I love the soft waves of this style so much that I know I'll be wearing it quite a lot.

The rest of my rez day was spent on Izzie's sim taking pics until my fave boy on all of SL decided to log on. I got to have a nice chat with him and he distracted me from editing for quite a bit but hey, you know how it is! If it weren't for my friends and blogging, I probably wouldn't be on Second Life so I'm grateful for the people who have touched my SL. Hugs to you all for making my SL what it is! As you can see from the pics and I'm sure many more on other blogs you read, Izzie's sim is beautifully done for the upcoming season so be sure to drop by and explore. And now I better tp off of it because I've been here for about 3 hours and I don't want her charging me rent. *Giggles* Have an awesome rest of the day readers! Muahz!
