Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

As soon as I saw this sequined star tea length gow from Miamai for Donna Flora, I knew I had to have it. I love anything with stars and this dress just appealed to that love. It's available in 6 pretty colors and materials ready plus all of the proceeds of its sales will go towards the Love Donna Flora fundraiser so be sure to head over to Donna Flora and pick this pretty girl up.

The rest of my look is goodies I've picked up yesterday around the grid. Ison has out the prettiest updo for Hair Fair, Glam Affair is having a 100L sale on all of its older skins, and Gos Boutique has two pairs of heels out for the price of one at The Liaison Collaborative. As you can see, it was a busy day of shopping for me.

Also, I fell in love with these bubbles hanging from the trees at the newly opened Savoir Faire sim and just had to snap a pic underneath them. This sim is gorgeously done and open to the public so head on over there and snap your own pretty pics.

Browsing Plurk this afternoon, I came across Nieve Thor's Musical Meme and since music is a huge part of my life, I decided to give it a go. 2. What is the last song you hear on your radio/ipod? (non-video): I don't remember! Don't hate me! It was on my way home from work last night at 6AM!

3. What is the last song you sing along on top of your lung?: Longview by Green Day...I sing everything I love that comes on the radio but I kind of had a drum solo with this one too yesterday...*looks embarrassed* while stuck in traffic on the expressway.

4. What is the one song you must listen everyday?: I don't have any I have to listen to everyday. I have favorites but I don't die from lack of listening.

5. What is/are the main song(s) that make you want to skip the playlist or change the station?: When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars, As Long As You Love Me by Justin Bieber, Beautiful by Mariah Carey, Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, oh God there are so many!

7.  Song that stuck in you head (doesn’t matter you love or hate): Heart Attack by Demi Lovato because it's my daughter's current favorite song. 

8. Song that you wish someone special (especially the singers themselves) serenaded only you with: Rhythm In My Soul by Jonny Craig because it's me and Carter's song and honestly if I was getting serenaded by the singer, Carter'd have to be there so he could fanboy Jonny.

9. Song that makes you wish it is written for you: :D I've had songs written for me. I'm a lucky girl. 

10. Song that always make you cry: Angel by Sarah McLachlan. They play it for the abused animals commercial here and it makes me bawl every time I hear it. Another one that makes me cry always is The Christmas Shoes by Newsong. Just listen to the lyrics and if you don't cry, you're a heartless person! Also, My Wish by Rascal Flatts is special to me and makes me tear up because it makes me think of my daughter.

Hi all! It's time for another little meme brought to you by Berry. This time she's got us answering weird questions about ourselves. Since I like to talk, I just had to participate. I'm also using this blog post to show off some items from Summerfest. I fell in love with this playable ukulele that Balaclava has out for the event. 1. Which was the last sim you visited? (Other than your home) Baja Norte to take this pic

2. Does your avatar look like the real you? Nope but I wish she did! I try to maintain some curves with Kis though because I'm not thin in RL and I feel awkward being so in SL. 

3. Do you wear underwear/panties underneath your clothing when out and about on the grid? Nope, I usually forget and I've been told about it dozens of times! *sticks my tongue out at my besties*

4. If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? Hmm, probably presents for all my besties. I like giving presents! I'd then pay my land for a year and cash the rest out.

5. Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? Nope. I know what I like and have a pretty decent memory so I am able to keep track of what I've purchased.

6. Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life? Yep. I've done everything from escort to breaking and entering to being a public menace to shooting people during urban RP. 

7. If you could go out on a date with any other avatar, who would it be? My heart, Carter. 

8. Who, in your opinion, was the greatest avatar to ever slive?  Myself! Just kidding!! Everyone has an amazing avatar and it's wonderful to see the many ways people in SL represent themselves. 

9. What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? Hmm sooo many, responded in the wrong window, pasted chat convos to the wrong person, tp'd somewhere naked, logged in on my ex and the girl he was playing at the same time as me cuddling on his couch. SL is full of  embarrassing moments. You just learn to laugh about them. 

10. If your avatar had a mind of its own, what do you think it would say to you? Be happy. SL is supposed to be fun!

Ascend Into the Blue

So I just had the most amazing afternoon/evening on SL and now I've got a few goodies to show off to you. Sweet Leonard, my go to accessory store released the prettiest stone necklace. This earthy necklace comes in 2 versions, long and short, so you can wear it with almost anything your heart desires. I paired it with one of my many Tee*fy dresses and Glam Affair skins from The Arcade to bring you this post.

I've also got a look at these gorgeous Ascension eyes from Ikon that are available exclusively at Numberology until June 15th. These pretty peepers feature a reflection in them and come in over 30 different colors. I figured I'd show off a few of my favorites and I must say that I'm usually a green eyed lass on SL but for some reason, I can't take off this Quicksilver color. Floaties

Summer is approaching fast here in the Northern Hemisphere and my RL pool has been open for a few weeks so when I saw all the adorable summery items available at this round of The Arcade, I had to go a little wild. I love swimming so much that I decided to drop all my newly acquired floaties in the water and float away for a few hours. If you've not picked up any of these cutesy little floats, you need to hurry over and give these gachas a try because they make any pool party more fun!

Beachcombing

Hey all! OMG! I am super excited! You see, it's like this. When I saw the cutesy ur favorite one overalls at this round of Collabor88, I got this idea to do a beachcombing blog post complete with a bucket full of shells. I thought it would be a totally adorable idea to do as a blog post but I was super emo sad to see that there were no beachcomber pose props around so I started begging people to do a custom job for me. Lucky for me, Nikki Wildmist of Demise of Flight thought the idea sounded fun and whipped them up for me super quick. When I saw the completed project, I was soooo happy because they are just what I pictured in my head and she added a color hud for the pail plus she included a bonus pail that moves with your AO. I couldn't have asked for anything else with this little set so I just had to run right out and take the pic I've been dreaming of. If you want to do your own beachcomber post, be sure to run to Demise of Flight and pick these adorable little pose props up! I love her so much for making them for me that I just had to partner her for a few days. *Giggles*

Like The Moon And The Stars And The Sun

Good quote and kind of fitting to this post because sometimes the people closest to you are very different from you and that's exactly how it is with me and one of my SL besties, Dinalya. Anyone who knows us can attest that we are like night and day in so many ways. It's a wonder that our friendship works out beings we are so different but you know what they say, opposites attract, so our friendship shines on.

When we both put on our Schadenfreude dresses, I said we were the sun and the moon so that's how this quote comes into play. Oh and we are letting Quinn in his new Kauna suit be the stars I guess. He initially said he was space junk but stars are prettier so yeah. Besides, he's just happy to be have two hot chicks in his arms! :D Seriously though, I don't know what I'd do without these two in my SL. I love them both very much and am happy that I met them. They keep a smile on my face in this otherwise gray time in my SL.

When You're Ready, Come and Get It

*sings loudly* Yes, I have this Selena Gomez song stuck in my head. I think it's gonna be there forever. It's a  catchy little tone. Anyways, as soon as I saw this rainbow hair on the feeds, I had to go buy this color pack of the previously blogged Exile hair, You've Got The Love. I love colors and when I saw all these pretty pastel ones all blended together, I just about died inside and started building a look around it with various goodies I picked up at shopping events this week. Wistful: Some More Little Big Hunt Prizes

I was in an artsy mood tonight. Decided to mess around with WL. Not one that I made from scratch but a Mescaline one that I tweaked a little to my liking. I wanted to show a softer side of Kis that not many get to see. I hide her deep down but lately she's been making more of an appearance.

Anyways, as I said in my last post, The Little Big Hunt has started and has wonderful prizes. I've got two more to show off today. Sassy has out this pretty maxi dress in one of my fave colors. This dress has a delicate floral screening to it but it's very simple and versatile so be sure to grab it. Also, my necklace is Sweet Leonard's prize for this hunt and features a cutesy little bird hiding in a birdhouse. I think this necklace goes fantastic with the dress so when you're out hunting for the dress, stop by Sweet Leonard and grab the necklace too!

Bohemian Chic

I'm suffering from a major sinus headache right now so I hope you'll forgive me if this is short and sweet. I fell in love with this skirt from Apple May Designs as soon as I saw the ad. I'm a sucker for gradient and comfy but cute skirts and this fit the bill perfectly so I just had to go buy it and the matching top to go with. They are both newness along with a maxi dress so if you're looking for some springlike stuffs, check them out. My necklace is new also from Sweet Leonard and features a custom colorable heart with the rusted key. This is awesome for matching any outfit and makes for the perfect accessory so yay!

Pics today are taken at RicoRacer Flux and Editorial Clarity's gorgeous home called Lakewood Estate. They've graciously opened it to the public until 12PM tomorrow so be sure to hurry over and check it out. They did a wonderful job designing it and there are lots of pretty spots to take pictures.

Why Do I Blog Meme

So it's time for another look into the fascinating world of Kismet. I know you are all super excited! :D This time I decided to do Berry's Why Do I Blog Meme. I admit I really haven't had the chance to read many of the other participant's answers but I'm sure mine aren't much different from everyone else's. Plus, it gives me an excuse to talk and the memes are fun so if you wanna do it too, check out Berry's blog. Now onto the questions!

1. How long have you been blogging? Since December 2010

2. Why did you start blogging? I was bored with my SL. My partner at the time basically deserted me on there and due to being partnered, I had cut myself off from most of my friends so I figured blogging would give me something to do. Plus, I enjoyed hunting down freebies and shopping so I thought this way I'd have something to show for it. 

3. How many times a week do you post an entry? Hmm, I'd have to say around 3-4x a week. If I'm blogging for a bunch of events, it might be more and if I'm going through personal stuff, it might be less. 

4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I read quite a few faves of mine on my bloglist but for the most part, I just skim the feeds until something catches my eye and then I read the post there.

5. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? Yes, I do from time to time but sometimes I get frustrated doing so because I feel like no one comments on mine.

6. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Yes, because I'm a nosy bitch and I want to make sure people are actually looking at my pictures. I do have my settings fixed so that I don't keep track of my own views though because I think that is false traffic.    

7. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? Nope, not in the writing sense. Sometimes I look at my pictures though and think, "Ugh, what was I thinking?"

8. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? Yes, I try to portray my personality in every blog post. I'm me....I'm very random and I think it shows in my style. It's never the same. 

9. Do you blog under your real name? Nope, I blog under my second life name. I like my privacy. 

10. Are there topics that you would never blog about? Hmm, I don't blog about topics really. My blog is just a review of what I'm wearing or about a location I found. Sometimes I skim over a bit of personal stuff but for the most part, fashion is my only topic. I think I'll keep it that way. I prefer things light. 

11. What is the theme/topic of your blog? Fashion in Second Life with a tad of exploration and freebies thrown in for good measure. I also like to help new bloggers so I have a few tips on other pages as well. 

12. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? I have an erotic tumblr. I like porn! Sorry! Plus, I sometimes write erotic short stories and I place them on there. It's not really a blog but it's close enough.  

13. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? Free stuff! Just kidding! I believe that the number one benefit to my blogging is social interaction and making new friends. I'm kind of reclusive but through blogging, I've met some wonderful people like my bestie, Kimbra and other friends like Lili and Christa. Plus, it taught me that designers are just people too and I've met some awesome ones like Gem and Nikki. 

14.  So, why do you continue to blog? It's therapeutic for me. I get stressed a lot with my RL and blogging allows me to float away to a relaxing world. Plus, playing pixel dressup makes me happy.

Whenever you think of Blacklace, I'm sure you think of sexy, delicate lingerie but did you know they also make dresses? Starlett is one of their newer releases and keeps with the sexy theme but offers a little more coverage. This pretty lace dress comes in a variety of colors perfect to bring out the celebrity in you. My makeup is from Blacklace Beauty and is available at Cosmetics Fair. It comes with two versions: with gloss or without. I love the bright red lips combined with the smokey eyes so much that I've been wearing it for the last few days.

Also, be sure to check out Demise of Flight. She's been cranking out poses left and right with her newest releases including curvy and Lola friendly options. This pose is part of her Delicate set and as you can see, it works wonderfully with my sexy curves.

A Little Pose Fair Preview

Hey readers! So if you're a pose whore like me, you've probably been counting down the days till Pose Fair opened and guess what today is the day. I've got a little glimpse at some simple poses from Grafica to show you. I've never heard of this pose store before but the poses they have out are basic model poses like I prefer for showcasing looks.

 And what better place to show off my look then at Isabelli Anatine's newly opened sim, Kitten's Heaven. This beautifully done sim features a cafe with music acts as well as lots of pretty places to rez props and take some pics. New Romance

Spring is here and Collabor88 has a new round with a theme of "New Romance" that goes perfectly with the season. This round features lots of lace and pretty pastels. As soon as I saw Tee*fy's offerings for this round, I knew I'd have to nab them. This pretty tank and floral skirt are their offering for this event. I paired it with this pretty D!va hair that features customizable flowers and a headband. Since I wanted a super springlike look, I went to Izzie's and took my pics on her pretty sim. As you can see, Spring is in the air and it's the perfect time for a picnic so won't you join me.
