The Video Interpretation Challenge: Sober

Hi all and welcome to the first week of our musically themed challenge, The Video Interpretation Challenge. Thanks for bearing with me. I know I said I'd do a formal post yesterday but alas, RL got in the way so I'm a day late. Hopefully you'll forgive me though! :D This week's video, Sober by Pink, was submitted by the lovely Iri. As soon as I saw it on the list of suggestions, I had to double check the video out because I knew the lyrics were some of my faves. The song kind of rings true to me because I am that girl that has to fill the silence. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm completely random and I will keep on talking just to talk. The quiet does scare me! Anyways, enough rambling about me and why I chose to do this song first. On with my pic! Music inspires us everyday. No matter if we're sad, angry, happy, or in love, we can always find some song to relate to. Since music is such a huge part of our lives, I thought we could do a fun, new blogger's challenge. As some of you know from reading my blog, I sometimes like to copy music video looks as closely as I can to see what I can come up with on SL. My challenge to you all is to participate alongside me and see what kind of look you'll come up with based on the music video of the week. And since everyone's taste in music is different, I'd like to open up a suggestion box so you can get the chance to duplicate one of your favorite song's looks. Eleonor's No Angel

Hey readers! Just a little post showing off some grungy goodies I picked up the last few days. I saw these jeans on another blog and knew I had to have them. They are by Razorblade Jacket and come with a belt hud with lots of buckle and color options. I love the fit so much that I'm sure I'll be wearing them again and again.

While out and about today, I wound up at Para Designs and noticed they were in the Jack or Jill Hunt so I area searched real quick and picked up their Jill prize which is this amazingly detailed angel tattoo. I'm not a huge fan of tattoos but I liked the wings on this one so I figured I'd show it off for all of you who like to be inked. And of course since I think the back is the best, I just had to take a quick snap of it.

Finally, I gotta mention my purty skin. It's the newest tone of Al Vulo's Eleonor called Bisquit. Eleonor comes with 14 makeups and includes 3 brow options, Tango appliers, the eyes I'm wearing, and many more makeup add ons. I can't decide which makeup I like the best but I felt like the black ones suited this look. If you're looking for a new darker toned skin, be sure to demo Eleonor because as you can see, she's adorable.

The Barrel

Hi readers! I just have to talk about this fabulous prop I picked up from Props N Poses. It's an urban city wall backdrop with a barrel that shoots steam out. It reminds me of something I'd find in Center City (Oops! RL mention lol!) and is perfect for someone like me who has issues finding good sims to take pictures in. I love the amazing detail shown in the brickwork and the shadows that stream across the scene. If you've never been to Props N Poses, I suggest you stop by and check out this awesome props as well as their many other prop scenes.

I put together my urban look for my new prop with this awesome outfit I picked up from the Depraved Urban Wreckage Hunt and this totally cool fanny pack belt from Pepper. This belt comes with a variety of accessories and adds just the right touch to my look. I love the little dangling bunny and sunglasses that hang from the belt because I like to be cutesy somewhat and because I live in sunglasses in real life. Pepper really is an awesome store for accessories so be sure to stop on by and pay it a visit.

The Couple Who Blogs Together...

I decided this blog needed a male presence so I convinced my partner, RH, to let me do him up for a couple's blog post. I see a lot of guys on Second Life blog but nowhere near the amount of females. Luckily for us, the Menstuff Hunt is going on now so we were able to nab up lots of awesome goodies for him to show off alongside my continuing hunt features. Now, if only he had the patience to scout locations and set up poses!

In other news, Al Vulo released their new group gift. Pollon is a creamy freckled face dream that makes me think of playfulness and giggling.
