The Video Interpretation Challenge: Sober

Hi all and welcome to the first week of our musically themed challenge, The Video Interpretation Challenge. Thanks for bearing with me. I know I said I'd do a formal post yesterday but alas, RL got in the way so I'm a day late. Hopefully you'll forgive me though! :D This week's video, Sober by Pink, was submitted by the lovely Iri. As soon as I saw it on the list of suggestions, I had to double check the video out because I knew the lyrics were some of my faves. The song kind of rings true to me because I am that girl that has to fill the silence. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm completely random and I will keep on talking just to talk. The quiet does scare me! Anyways, enough rambling about me and why I chose to do this song first. On with my pic! Music inspires us everyday. No matter if we're sad, angry, happy, or in love, we can always find some song to relate to. Since music is such a huge part of our lives, I thought we could do a fun, new blogger's challenge. As some of you know from reading my blog, I sometimes like to copy music video looks as closely as I can to see what I can come up with on SL. My challenge to you all is to participate alongside me and see what kind of look you'll come up with based on the music video of the week. I'm Not The One Who's So Far Away

Hi readers! I've got some goodies to show you that will be available at the upcoming Fashion Voodoo event on August 10th by Plastik. Plastik's releases for this event have blown me away. I'm loving this pinstriped skirt so much I don't ever want to take it off. In other news, today is a good picture taking day for me. As some of you know, I'm my worst critic and usually wind up hating the pictures I take. Today was an exception though and I'm sooooo happy with the way these turned out. I partially think it's due to this awesome sim. It's called Redemption Hill and if you're looking for an eerie place to take pictures, you should check this one out because it's so well done and there are plenty of interesting areas to take shots at. It's definitely in my top 10 fave sims on the grid and I'm absolutely certain you'll love it too!

Put A Quarter In The Jukebox

I really wanted to listen to some music tonight and just dance to some good tunes so I stuck a quarter in this jukebox and chilled back for a few letting the music flow through me until the jukebox just abruptly stopped for no reason. What's a girl to do when that happens but give it a few kicks in hopes that it goes back on so that's exactly what I did and voila, it worked again.

Noises, I Play Within My Head

So I came across a new store and I have to say I'm in seriously like and can't wait to see what else they put out. The store is called [Avoid] and they just opened but feature so much mesh goodness in the form of cutesy 80's inspired accessories so far. I'm showing off this My Little Pony lunchbox because who doesn't love ponies but there are lots of other adorable designs for both girls and boys so be sure to search for this store and go get your own lunchbox. I might share what's inside but you're not getting my pail.

Also, Keep Calm & Keep Shopping opens in just four days and I got a looksie of one of the bright tops being offered by Coloreta's for this event. This top comes in 3 colors and matches a skirt that they will also have out for the event but we all know I like shorts better. I paired it with these new mesh boots from Pepper that are available in 4 colors. Keep your eye out for more goodness from both this event and this store because both offer so many great things. Elephants Never Forget!

So when I saw this bag by Bells Boutique for Wear Gray, I just knew I had to blog it. I love love love the cutesy little elephant on the front so much that I had to create a look to go around it. Lucky for me, Belote has started making mesh goodies and I picked up this simply done tank that went perfect with the gray version of the Zia jeans by Cynful that I showed off yesterday. I decided to go with shorter hair for this post because I picked up this cute short do from Shag the other day at the Euphoria Spring sale and I haven't had a chance to show it off. Combine it with these beautiful, bright eyes from Songbird and this versatile belt from Pepper that is available at Private Room and you got my look of the day. Enjoy!

Cracked Whore

Yes, I said no more WCF stuff but I couldn't help it once I laid eyes on this sexy lace dress from Cracked Mirror. Tortura is its name and yes, I had some torture coming up with a name for this post so I went to my Plurk friends who threw this out at the same time as I thought it. This dress will torture the men with its sheer hawtness so you better make sure to head on over to Whore Couture Fair and nab it.

I'm also showing off some new MESH jewelry from Fanatik. This fun jewelry is sure to look good with any outfit and comes in a variety of colors so be sure to check out Fanatik if you want some more fabulous meshness. Finally, I picked up this sexy 70's inspired wildchild hair from Shag for Project Themeory. I love how the butterscotch color contrasts with this pretty Al Vulo skin so I'm sure I'll be wearing this combination for the next few days.

Sticky Fingers has released even more sexiness in the form of this mini with a peekaboo heart shaped cutout at the cleavage. Perfect Wardrobe Sneak Peek: Winter Wonderland

Perfect Wardrobe starts a new round tomorrow and the theme this time around is Winter Wonderland. As soon as I saw this pretty white dress from Sticky Fingers and these Frosty Lashes from Izzie's, I just knew I'd have to make an ice princess look. I just love how the dress flows around making me really feel like a princess and I love the fabulous detailing of these lashes. Fifties Inspired w/Sticky Fingers

Vintage Fair is on in full throttle and I got the privilege of showing off Sticky Finger's release for this event. My Ballet Baby Doll Dress is available in 3 colors and features a fiftish vibe with a full tea length style skirt and tight bodice. This dress reminds me of something June Cleaver would wear to a cocktail party. This simply done dress features an amazing brocade style texture and little leather belt to make it pop. If you haven't been to Sticky Finger's Vintage Fair booth, drop on by and pick this little number up.

I've paired my pretty new Vintage Fair dress with this poppy necklace from Collisions for TOSL. TOSL features a salute to heroes theme this week and this necklace is available in white, symbolizing peace, and red, symbolizing rememberance. The Barrel

Hi readers! I just have to talk about this fabulous prop I picked up from Props N Poses. It's an urban city wall backdrop with a barrel that shoots steam out. It reminds me of something I'd find in Center City (Oops! RL mention lol!) and is perfect for someone like me who has issues finding good sims to take pictures in. I love the amazing detail shown in the brickwork and the shadows that stream across the scene. If you've never been to Props N Poses, I suggest you stop by and check out this awesome props as well as their many other prop scenes.

I put together my urban look for my new prop with this awesome outfit I picked up from the Depraved Urban Wreckage Hunt and this totally cool fanny pack belt from Pepper. This belt comes with a variety of accessories and adds just the right touch to my look. I love the little dangling bunny and sunglasses that hang from the belt because I like to be cutesy somewhat and because I live in sunglasses in real life. Pepper really is an awesome store for accessories so be sure to stop on by and pay it a visit.

Sheena was dropped to me in four different makeups but I gotta admit that I'm loving Sheena 1 the best. Sheena has pink dewy cheekbones, an even tone throughout and chiseled abs. Can you say yum? I feel like I went to the virtual gym and did a million crunches. *Giggles* I'm loving the light rose lips and eye makeup and if you're after some darker makeup, be sure to check out one of the other makeups available here!

I May Be Bad But I'm Perfectly Good At It

Just a quick post to show my LOTD. Lol! Yes, most of my day on Second Life consisted of me wearing this skimpy bra and panties set but that's just because I wanted to finish up my second entry for the "Are You Shaggable?" contest. My Second Life sister in law, Anabelle, kindly reminded me that the deadline was approaching soon via her blog so I got to work. I entered a picture about a week ago but wasn't totally impressed with it and had been batting around this idea ever since I saw these bondage props from KHUSH so here is my second attempt at this contest.
