The Little Big Hunt Has Started

The Little Big Hunt started yesterday and runs till May 30th. Featuring over 30 stores, this hunt has themed prizes that are either little or big things. I'm showing off a cute little outfit I put together with Demise of Flight's basic tanktop with a fun elephant on it and Purple Moon's mini that comes with a hud allowing you to change it out to 6 different patterns. I think they go pretty awesomely together. Don't you agree? Oh and if you're more of a furniture fan, Circa has out this fantastic bookcase complete with everything you see shown on it as well as comfy cushions (not shown) that you can sit on. As you can see, these prizes are fabulous so be sure to check out Covert Affair's blog to see a complete list of stores participating in this hunt.

Xmas Expo for RFL

*Just a little warning. This post is going to be picture and text heavy but it's for a good cause so keep reading*

Hi readers! In just a few hours, the 2012 Xmas Expo will open. This event is a fundraiser event for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. It runs from Dec. 6th -19th and features everything from races to auctions to live music, and of course, shopping! I've got a few pics of some of the fabulous goodies you can purchase at this event with a portion of the proceeds of these sales going to charity. If you'd like to read more about this wonderful event, you can check out the Xmas Expo website or pay it a visit and see for yourself! With the event spanning over 4 sims, it's definitely got something for everyone!

First, let's start with some furniture. The awesome mesh fireplace and cozy chair are from Katy's Kreations. As you can see, the texturing in these items is amazing and the chair has 7 sits with mirror versions making it perfect for lounging up in front of the fire. Speaking of fireplaces, this next holiday themed one is by PRIME 1 and features adorable little built in seats with 4 sits making it perfect for holiday photos.

Some more cutesy furniture you'll find is this comfy little chair and table set by Park Place Home Decor. This wintery set comes complete with a little area rug and some milk and cookies making for the perfect Christmas treat. I posed this adorable mesh owl that will be available from Purple Moon on the chair cause I thought it was a fun little decor item.

Now moving away from furniture, I've got to show off this pretty icy sequined dress from Sassy! It's perfectly sexy and ready for you to wear to all your holiday parties. I paired it with this festive skin from Diamond Style that features glittery eyes and soft pink lips. I think this skin is truly a raven haired skin so all you Snow White types will look fabulous in it.

As you can see, this event has lots of goodies to be had and this is only a small portion of it. Plus when the proceeds go to such a fantastic charity that benefits a condition that has I'm sure touched all of us in some way, you can't help but want to go so hurry over to Xmas Expo and spend some dough!

Put A Quarter In The Jukebox

I really wanted to listen to some music tonight and just dance to some good tunes so I stuck a quarter in this jukebox and chilled back for a few letting the music flow through me until the jukebox just abruptly stopped for no reason. What's a girl to do when that happens but give it a few kicks in hopes that it goes back on so that's exactly what I did and voila, it worked again.

This fun little jukebox prop is available at Vintage Fair and is by Nani Poses. It's got four poses guaranteed to get you up on your feet enjoying the music. Well, up on your feet anyways. If you're looking for a new fun prop, be sure to check this one out.

Tropicalia Bazaar #2 Gets Meshed

The Tropicalia Bazaar #2 started its 3rd round today and has some mesh goodies out for you. Purple Moon has this fashionable purse with 2 holds and your choice of using the animation or not and Leri Miles Designs has out this sweater with nice wintery tones. Although the sweater comes in two sizes, I highly suggest you demo it because the curvy didn't fit me and I had to mod my shape way down to fit it. While I don't feel like my AV is a big girl, I guess by SL standards she is. This annoys me a little because SL has too many barbiedoll types running around instead of realistic Av's.

Also, I'm super happy to see my favorite skin designer, Filthy, has joined the TTB team. She has out (hopefully a pre-release) a pretty tan skin with neutral lips and fun green and yellow eye makeup. This skinny comes with or without the cleavage option. Oh, and did I mention all TTB items are under 75L? I Need Coffee

First, I want to apologize for this picture being a little darker than usual. Yesterday my beloved laptop died and I'm now on a different one and don't know how to fix the colors yet. If anyone has a clue, please let me know because I miss my bright world on SL.

The Tropicalia Bazaar is back with a new round and has inspired this little post. Art Body Store put out these cute coffee cup poses as one of their items and since I've been on such a coffee kick lately, I just had to show them off. I usually prefer iced coffee but my sister bought me this Mocha Mint flavored kind from Dunkin Donuts and I'm addicted. Yum! I also picked up this nicely done Reindeer jewelry set from Purple Moon. The little stones on it are changeable so you know you can accessorize it well with any outfit. I like how it's kind of Christmasy but not too Christmasy as I'm getting a little tired of posting Christmas looks.

Oh and my hair! Gotta talk about that. It's one of the newest releases from Tameless and it's called Nadine. I absolutely love this shade on me and the style works so well for pictures. I've never heard of this store until recently but if you're looking for a new hair store, head on over to Tameless and pick up Nadine. You won't be disappointed.

A With Love Hunt 2 Sneak Peek

The With Love Hunt 2 or With Love Again Hunt starts on Dec. 9th and runs till Jan. 6th. This will be the fifth CHIC management hunt and has over 100 stores participating. All hunt items will be 10L but will be quality items valued at around 400L. I managed to get a sneak peek at some of the items and I can honestly say this is definitely a hunt that you won't want to miss.

For this post, I'm showing off this beautifully done red cocktail dress featuring a belted waistline and jeweled embellishment on the shoulder strap from R.icielli. I've paired it with a darker red colored purse called the Mara purse that is part of a gift set from Purple Moon.  This little set includes matching boots (not shown) that would be perfect accessories for any SL fashionista's inventory. As you can see, both of these prizes are well worth the price so be sure to mark your calendar for the With Love Hunt 2 and stay tuned for more sneak peeks from this fabulous hunt.

Sneak Peek: Upcoming Tropicalia Bazaar

Tonight I have a sneak peek at a pretty blue sweater dress that will be available from Purple Moon for the upcoming round of The Tropicalia Bazaar. I'm in no way a fashionista but I notice that sweater dresses are hot this season on Second Life because I've seen quite a few in the last couple of weeks. The twist on Purple Moon's version of the sweater dress is this suede textured belt with a little western inspired fringe. I love how the neutral brown color of the belt offsets the bright blue of the dress and how the belt brings attention to the waist. I paired my adorable sweater dress with my Miel boots and this fantastic freebie from Le Poppycock for Style Academy. I was thrilled to find that this little hatbox inspired bag was mod so I changed the color of the trim to match my LOTD.

After putting together my look, I had to find a place to take pics and I stumbled across this site telling me to check out this SIM called Joplin 66. It's a breathtakingly beautiful and raw inspired farm town and it was deserted. I feel so bad that someone's talent is wasted and that this fabulous SIM is empty so go check out these pics I found on Koinup  while googling and visit Joplin 66.

Rawr!

A couple of the blogs I follow have been showing off this sexy tan skin from a new store called Barbiedoll so I had to tp to the store and check it out. There isn't a lot of merchandise available yet but what I saw was super sexy so of course, I have to show off a few items from there. I got my hands literally on these adorable lace gloves and this sexy skin called Noona. Noona features pouty lips and kittenish eyes. Right now, she's only available in Tan but she's smokin so you won't mind the darker tone if you're like me and into paler tones. I haven't taken her off yet. I'm wearing the Hypnotic makeup but you really can't see it well so I promise to give a full show of this hawt skinny later.

I'm also showing off this smexy animal print bodysuit from Sticky Fingers. It was just released and comes in a variety of colors so if you're looking to show off your animalistic nature, check out these hot little numbers. I paired my bodysuit with a complimentary lace mask also from Sticky Fingers and these naughty Growl pumps from Purple Moon available at The Tropicalia Bazaar. A Tropicalia Bazaar Sneak Peek

The Tropicalia Bazaar is changing its collection as we speak but lucky for you, I got a sneak peek of a very bright and pretty dress being offered by Purple Moon as well as a matching jewelry set. This combo which reminds me of a watermelon is going to be for sale at The Tropicalia Bazaar. The dress features a resizer in the bodice and skirt and has three alpha layer combinations to hide those troublesome areas and the jewelry set includes a pair of teardrop earrings as well as the teardrop pendant necklace.

I'm also showing off this fantastic butterfly prop and pose that is going to be for sale from Art Body Store at the event. It comes with five fun poses that capture the movement of the butterflies so nicely. This event is only on its second collection but already it features some fabulous designers so be sure to stop by and take a peek.
