Bandana Day

Hair Fair is sadly coming to an end and as most of you all know, today is Bandana Day. This day is we remove our hair to honor those who are suffering with cancer right now and wear a bandana. There were tons of beautifully made bandanas to purchase at this wonderful event but this one by Ohmai was so gorgeous that I chose it for my bandana today along with a lot of other people on SL. If you haven't been to this event yet, you still have a few hours. Remember that all sales of the bandanas go towards Wigs for Kids so be sure to run over and get your own bandana and support an awesome charity!

Also, if you haven't heard, Beetlebones has reopened and has a bunch of new goodies in her store. My beautifully done dress is one of these releases and comes in a variety of colors. I love the simpleness to this dress so much and felt like it went perfectly with my bandana so I just had to show it off. I paired it with Filthy's newest release Oceanne which I will show you more of in my next post.

Since we are removing our hair, I thought it was apt to wear the browless version of this skin and ditch my lashes today because as you know chemotherapy isn't selective and cancer patients lose all of the hair on their body, not just the hair on their head. I hope that anyone who is reading this post who may be affected by this tragic illness knows that your spirit shines through in your strength and that makes you beautiful. <3

I Cannot Be Until You're Resting Here With Me

Yep! The title is kind of how I'm feeling right now over a certain someone special. I wish he were here with me because I love him so much! Anyways, I've got some exciting news for you all! Filthy skins is back and has released a new skin called Alicia. Alicia has a soft face and comes in 5 tones each packed with loads of makeup layer extras like freckles, eye shadows, and lipsticks. Plus, Alexandra Barcelos has jumped on the Lola Tango train and also has made breast appliers for Alicia. I just had to put on this pretty skin and show her off to you along with this gorgeous flowy dress from Baiastice that is available at this round of Fameshed.

I've also got a few fabulous freebies you can pick up around the grid. Sweet Leonard has out this beautifully done pearl flower necklace and ring set for the Fist Pump With the Best hunt and Nani Poses has out an 8 pack of versatile, summer themed poses for the Endless Summer Hunt. Also, don't forget to pick up Ikon's group gift this weekend. It's a pair of his newly released Ascension eyes in a luminescent gold color. Gotta love the generosity of these designers!

Good quote and kind of fitting to this post because sometimes the people closest to you are very different from you and that's exactly how it is with me and one of my SL besties, Dinalya. Anyone who knows us can attest that we are like night and day in so many ways. It's a wonder that our friendship works out beings we are so different but you know what they say, opposites attract, so our friendship shines on.

When we both put on our Schadenfreude dresses, I said we were the sun and the moon so that's how this quote comes into play. Oh and we are letting Quinn in his new Kauna suit be the stars I guess. He initially said he was space junk but stars are prettier so yeah. Besides, he's just happy to be have two hot chicks in his arms! :D Seriously though, I don't know what I'd do without these two in my SL. I love them both very much and am happy that I met them. They keep a smile on my face in this otherwise gray time in my SL.

The Video Interpretation Challenge: Sober

Hi all and welcome to the first week of our musically themed challenge, The Video Interpretation Challenge. Thanks for bearing with me. I know I said I'd do a formal post yesterday but alas, RL got in the way so I'm a day late. Hopefully you'll forgive me though! :D This week's video, Sober by Pink, was submitted by the lovely Iri. As soon as I saw it on the list of suggestions, I had to double check the video out because I knew the lyrics were some of my faves. The song kind of rings true to me because I am that girl that has to fill the silence. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm completely random and I will keep on talking just to talk. The quiet does scare me! Anyways, enough rambling about me and why I chose to do this song first. On with my pic! When You're Ready, Come and Get It

*sings loudly* Yes, I have this Selena Gomez song stuck in my head. I think it's gonna be there forever. It's a  catchy little tone. Anyways, as soon as I saw this rainbow hair on the feeds, I had to go buy this color pack of the previously blogged Exile hair, You've Got The Love. I love colors and when I saw all these pretty pastel ones all blended together, I just about died inside and started building a look around it with various goodies I picked up at shopping events this week. She's A Starlett

Whenever you think of Blacklace, I'm sure you think of sexy, delicate lingerie but did you know they also make dresses? Starlett is one of their newer releases and keeps with the sexy theme but offers a little more coverage. This pretty lace dress comes in a variety of colors perfect to bring out the celebrity in you. My makeup is from Blacklace Beauty and is available at Cosmetics Fair. It comes with two versions: with gloss or without. I love the bright red lips combined with the smokey eyes so much that I've been wearing it for the last few days.

Also, be sure to check out Demise of Flight. She's been cranking out poses left and right with her newest releases including curvy and Lola friendly options. This pose is part of her Delicate set and as you can see, it works wonderfully with my sexy curves.

Magic Night

I like mostly everyone on SL went to The Arcade and went broke. I kept going back for things I had forgotten the first time I went and then, I found the yard sales and yeah, you know what they say, "One person's junk is another's treasure." so I bought a little from them too. I loved the rich satin texture of this dress from Baiastice so much that I had to build a look around it. Lucky for me, I had the perfect skin in Al Vulo's TDR release of Ramona. Magic Night has purple eye makeup that complimented the dress well. This skin comes in 3 tones and includes lots of extras like the Lola Tango appliers and the pretty eyes I'm wearing. I'm showing off the Fairy tone. What's your favorite one?

There's No Place Like Home

So recently Riley and I bought land and I've been trying to get it perfect. It's 1/4 of a homestead and in my opinion, it's a beautiful place. I can't wait till we are finished fixing it up but tonight we just wanted to talk so work was put on hold. I was initially going to do a post by myself but when Riley saw me dressed up in this pretty dress by Cynful available at My Attic, he wanted to be too and then of course, I had to include him in the pics because I thought he looked really hot in his new suit and I love that I finally get to use some of these nice couples poses I've collected through the months. This one is by the now closed store, Magnifique, but you can still nab it on Marketplace.

Now I gotta mention this hair. It's one of Exile's newer releases and omg! I love it! I love the soft flowy volumized look of it and the length is just perfect in my opinion. There is nothing like sexy hair and Exile really nailed it with this one. I think it's my fave hair of the year so far actually!

Seaside at Roche

Hey all! Just a quick LOTD with some goodies I picked up at this round of Collabor88. My faves were definitely the Fashionably Dead tees, which I picked up in a few colors, and this pretty Glam Affair skin with bright red lips. I'm a huge fan of ruby red lips and think they look very sensual so when I see a nicely done skin sporting them, I have to snap it up.

I also picked up this gorgeously done jewelry from Maxi Gossamer called Khaleesi's Temptation and since I'm a huge GoT fan, I just had to have it. It comes with both metal options as well as tons of bead options so you can't go wrong with it. I love how the red and black beads tie into the rest of my outfit. It looks like it was made to go together! Anyways, enough rambling from me! This round of Collabor88 was one of my faves so be sure to check it out too!
