Play Something Country

Hey all! Rhapsody is in full swing and this time I decided to show off some stuff from the Country themed part of the event. My gorgeous dress is by Coquet and comes in 3 different floral patterns perfect for the country girl at heart and my fun guitar prop with pose is by Nani so if you wanna play something country, be sure to grab it.

Also, it's been awhile since I've shared one of my windlights with you all so I figured I'd share this one. I originally made it for a desert themed post I did but I think it works well for country themed stuff as well. I call it Desert Night and you can download it here! I hope you enjoy it.

The Geeky Meme

Yep! It's meme time again and this time, I'm doing Berry's Geeky Meme. I absolutely loved everything at Geeks N Nerds so I figured while I was showing off some of the goodies you can pick up there, I'd let you know just how geeky I really am. This embossed top from Ison is wonderful. It comes with a hud so you can mix and match out the shirttails and I absolutely love these bowtie heels from fri.day. Although I'm wearing basic black, they come in a variety of colors and also feature a hud to change the bow color. Finally, my awesome pose props are from Nani poses. I love books so much that I just had to show them off. I mean who doesn't like reading right? If you haven't been to Geeks N Nerds, there is still plenty of time so hurry hurry hurry over!

1. What do you consider yourself to be? Geek? Nerd? Dork? None of the above? All of the above? I believe I'm all of the above. I love video games, technology, gaining knowledge, and I'm socially awkward. I don't feel that I'm strongly any of the three because I know there are people out there who fit these categories better than me but I do feel I possess qualities from all of them.
2. What was the first computer you ever owned? I really don't remember! I know it was a desktop though and I bought it when I was around 18. I hate desktops now though and will forever own a laptop.
3. When and how did you first get on the internet? With Comcast at the same time that I got my computer. 
4. Which geek fandom do you subscribe to? I'm very big on trivia. I love any kind of trivia game I can play and am a vast source of useless facts. I'm also heavily into SL obviously and I used to love playing Magic the Gathering but no one where I live currently plays.
5. Star Trek or Star Wars? Neither. I'm not a fan. Sorry!
6. How Geeky Am I? I got a 72%. I don't think this quiz measures geekdom accurately though.

Lean On Me

Today I'm going to take the time to do one of Berry's memes from almost two weeks ago where I get to blog about one of my closest SL friends. I know I'm super late with this meme but my one of my closest friends on SL lives in Australia so due to time zone issues and me always crashing, it's very hard to get him to pose pretty for me. Lucky for me, I had off today so I got to hang out with him for a longer period of time than usual so without futher ado, let me introduce my boy bestie, Xplozive.

I met Xplozive a year or so ago at an exhibitionism and voyeur sim. (Yes, Kissy was up to no good!) I noticed him instantly because his pixels looked good compared to most men that visit those types of sims but he looked to be in conversation with this fish face chick with the IPR going down so I left him be. Obviously, I caught his eye too because it wasn't very long before he ditched the other chick and IM'd me. We instantly clicked over a mutual love of trolling and fashion and spent the next two hours just talking about random stuff.

As our friendship progressed, I found that he's one of the few men on SL that actually seem to care about what I have to say without trying to get into my pixel panties. He's also always been honest with me and sweet to me. Combine that with the ability to make me laugh and the fact that he always is up for trouble, and we quickly became close friends. I can honestly say that besides Kimbra, he is the person I talk to the most on SL and hands down, one of my favorite people online. It's funny how SL can allow you to build friendships from all over the world. If it weren't for SL, I'd have never met this amazing man so I'm grateful we crossed paths in this virtual world. He's someone I've leaned on greatly these past few months and I'm very lucky to have met him that night. Thanks for being a wonderful friend Xp!

Oh My Pumpkin

Hey all! Just a quick LOTD post featuring these adorable pumpkin pose props that Nani Poses has out for the Oh My Gacha event. These pumpkin poses are just one of the cute autumn inspired props that are available for grabs in this gacha for only 40L a play. This set includes two different pumpkin poses with a jack o'lantern or basic pumpkin option. I like both options so I decided to decorate outside of my house with them.

Yep! The title is kind of how I'm feeling right now over a certain someone special. I wish he were here with me because I love him so much! Anyways, I've got some exciting news for you all! Filthy skins is back and has released a new skin called Alicia. Alicia has a soft face and comes in 5 tones each packed with loads of makeup layer extras like freckles, eye shadows, and lipsticks. Plus, Alexandra Barcelos has jumped on the Lola Tango train and also has made breast appliers for Alicia. I just had to put on this pretty skin and show her off to you along with this gorgeous flowy dress from Baiastice that is available at this round of Fameshed.

I've also got a few fabulous freebies you can pick up around the grid. Sweet Leonard has out this beautifully done pearl flower necklace and ring set for the Fist Pump With the Best hunt and Nani Poses has out an 8 pack of versatile, summer themed poses for the Endless Summer Hunt. Pieces of Me

So this post has a lot in it. Today was probably one of my best SL days ever because I partnered the most wonderful guy. Yep, that's him down in the couples pic. Not only is he super awesome but he posed with me!! That earns him triple brownie points in my opinion.

Ok, enough gushing! So the Cold Winter Nights Hunt started the other day and omg the prizes are awesome! I love, love, love all the decor you can pick up at this hunt all for 10L a piece. My fave hunt goodies had to be this cutesy couples pose by Nani Poses and this adorable little house by Post. This hunt runs till February 15th so you have plenty of time to check it out.

Let's Get Unhinged With Some Vino

Two fabulous events are starting tomorrow. First up, we've got Unhinged. Unhinged is a huge gacha festival with a skull theme and DJ's spinning beats nonstop for the first 24 hours all for a good cause. 75% of the proceeds taken in from this event will go to helping Eku Zhong get a much needed and serious surgery done on her skull. I've got a looksie at two awesome gacha goodies you can pick up at this event. Geometry has out these adorable prairie like dresses that come in 8 colors from vibrant teal to a more subdued and neutral caramel. I paired this lovely frock with these pretty peepers that Bilo has out for the event. These eyes come in 7 tones and can be worn in a mesh or non mesh version. Being Lazy

So due to a combination of one hyper six year old and a few overnight shifts with little sleep, this is a quick post but I just wanted to show off some cuteness I picked up for discount at various events this weekend. I love being a redhead so when I snapped up this hair by Wasabi Pills at Cinema, I knew instantly that I was going to get the Glam Affair Ginny skin in a lighter tone then I normally wear from Collabor88. I threw on this cute and cozy sweater from The Secret Store and decided to pose pretty in this autumn themed skybox from A:S:S. Both these items are available for Lazy Sunday and as you can see, they are each awesome in their own right.

And speaking of posing pretty, check out the poses I'm using in these pics. They are by Nani Poses and will be available tomorrow at The Black Market. If you've never tried Nani Poses, you definitely need to. Not only does she make great simple poses like these ones, she also makes adorable props and is in quite a few discounted events. If you're a pose whore like me, you need to stop by and scoop these babies up.

On a non SL related front, not that you've probably noticed unless you are a Blogger blogger but the page views have reset themselves. I asked around on SL and no one had noticed but when I go on the Blogger help forums, it's happened to a lot of people so don't fear because they are fixing it. Autumn Comes to My House

So those of you nearest and dearest to my heart, you know I've been decorating my sky platform for the last week or so. Yes, a week! What can I say? I'm distracted easily. Anyways, it's finally done and I wanna show it off to the rest of you all using a collage like I saw on Harlow Heslop's blog.

I've never had a place that I could personalize myself before this year so I've been taking advantage of it but this time, I got to decorate for my favorite season of all so I'm super duper happy!! I love the rich autumn colors combined with a light beige tone as you'll see in my pics. Once I saw this awesome lodge by Zacca, I just started to furnish around it. This house comes complete with two things that made it a must buy in my opinion. They are: a huge window seat with built in poses and a little loft area perfect for lounging around.

I've come to realize that I could easily buy out the stores, What Next and Lisp Bazaar, but I also found some cuteness from a few other not as known designers so please check out the credits to find out some info on all these goodies.

Oh, did I mention that a lot of this stuff is heavily discounted? If you are on a budget, be sure to check Marketplace because there are tons of awesome cheapies on there especially for the autumn season.

P.S. How long do you think it'll take before my land owner realizes I'm umm slightly over my allotted prims? *Giggles*

Camp Out

Since the weather is cooler, I figured it'd be the perfect opportunity to do a little camping. Camping is always best when it's not too hot and you can sleep peacefully under the stars in your tent. Since I'm a chicken and afraid of bears, I decided to camp out in my backyard. I woke up this morning and pulled on my fave flannel top and worn jeans to step out of my tent and watch the early birds of nature. 

Oh what's that? You wanna know where my comfy outfit comes from. Well, my top is newness from Barbie Bitch and comes in about 7 different colors and looks just like a shirt you'd steal from your bf and my jeans are also newness but this time from [trs] and come in cuffed and non cuffed versions. I prefer a straighter leg so I'm showing them off but both are adorable. Finishing up my camp out is this fantastic tent that I picked up from North West's closing sale. This tent features six poses but I chose to show off an upcoming hunt prize you can snag from Nani Poses for the starting soon Panty Raid Hunt. Now, I see that the clouds are starting to come in so I think it's time for me to pack up this tent and go indoors. Be sure to check out all these stores for your own camping look. Muahz!

What Dreams May Come

Hi all! Today I was fooling around most of the day with the mirror image tools Berry blogged about the other day. I loved how cool and crisp her pics looked that I just had to give it a try. I fell in love with this absolutely breathtaking new number from *LpD* and my idea just took off from there. Since I had such an awesome night on SL tonight, I'm going to be short and just post some pics. 

I'm very happy with the way these turned out. It was fun taking these pics and I hope to get better at mirror images in the future. This kind of blogging really relaxes me. I hope everyone has a great day! <3
