Introspection Meme

Hey all! I'm using this meme post first to show off these earthy twig accessories that are available at The Fantasy Collective by ieQED. This hairpiece and necklace come in both a berry and non berry version perfect for any woodland pictures you'd need to take and if you join the TFC group, you can nab them now because a perk of being a member of this group is early access to this event. 

And now you can enjoy my answers to Berry's Introspection Meme!

1. Regardless of your current number, how old do you actually feel? I feel around my age. My life is basically where I want it to be. I'm almost 33 so I feel like I'm finally enjoying my career but that I'm still young enough to do anything that I dream of doing.
2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying. I hate going through life wondering what if so I try and if I fail, then at least I know I tried.
3. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I would spend more time enjoying the little things life offers.
4. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? Hmm, I think doing the right thing is doing things right so I don't have to choose a response to this....or maybe I just did. :D
5. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? A worried genius. I love learning and the knowledge you gain by doing so. I already worry about a lot of things and am able to cope well so I'm not "worried" about it.
6. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? Yes. I'm undoubtedly loyal to my friends and will support and defend them in their times of need. I am not perfect but I believe I'm an awesome friend to have.
7. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? Well, it was more like 7 years ago and yes, it still does matter to me. Things weren't handled properly and they do impact my life as well as the life of someone I love very dearly.
8. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? I feel the most passionate when I'm working. As a registered nurse, you learn to appreciate the little things in life when you see the things your patients struggle to do daily. I thank God often that I'm fortunate to have my health.
9. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? No, but I'd probably take off for a year and travel a little.
10. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? I'd spend the day with my family and friends doing something fun.
11. What do you feel is the difference between being alive and truly living? Being alive is just going through life doing everyday things. Truly living is seeking out those moments that thrill and exhilarate you.
12. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? I guess it's because mistakes are discouraging and can hurt us or others. I am not usually afraid of making a mistake because I know that everyone makes them and that we do learn from them. 
13. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? Be more social. I'm very insecure in RL and because of it, I've shut myself off from a lot of people. If I didn't feel I was being judged, I'd probably get out there more and interact with others.
14. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Life live to the fullest and never let anyone make you feel second rate.

Woodland Frost

Hey all! This post is all about accessories! First, I've got a sneak peek at these fun fantasy based accessories from Distorted Dreams that will be available at the first round of The Fantasy Collective. My autumn inspired twig hairpiece and my simple wood necklace will be up for sale at this event. The Fantasy Collective starts on November 20th and features a great lineup of fantasy based stores so be sure to save up your lindens.

The rest of my look is a combination of awesomeness from Collabor88 as well as some more new accessories by Sweet Leonard. I love this delicate acorn necklace and bag so much that I just had to add them to my look of the day. Sweet Leonard is always cranking out the cuteness so if you've never been to this store, be sure to check them out.

Oh and I gotta give special love to this laced up boots by Beetlebones. They are my absolute favorite item from this round of Collabor88 and come in five different colors for 88L each. I can't believe what a steal they were. I bought two and am probably going to pick up more. You should too!

Fall Time!

Hi readers! I'm on a bit of a budget but felt like blogging so I've got some prizes you can grab at The Autumn Effect Hunt to show off as well as this adorable hat from Sweet Leonard that is for sale at Marquis Market. My cutesy hat is available in 3 colors and is an exclusive to this event so hurry over and pick it up.

Now, let's talk about these hunt goodies. Cynful has out this sexy sweater dress as its prize. This curve hugging number comes in three versions: turtleneck, no turtleneck, and busty. I'm not a huge turtleneck fan so I loved the non version and am happy she gave out all of the choices. Another cute prize this hunt has is this Fall inspired leaf necklace from Atooly. This delicate accessory adds just the right touch to my outfit. As you can see, these are both awesome prizes so be sure to check out this hunt if you're on a budget like me. Can't wait till payday!

Finally, I decided to share another windlight with you all tonight. If you've noticed, my last few posts were all done in a Fall hued windlight. I made this one by tweaking a windlight that I already had downloaded to highlight all of the pretty tones of this season so it may look similar to one you already have (Sorry! I forget whose to give proper credit to!) but I figured everyone needs a pretty new windlight and some of you might be a little afraid to attempt messing with them yourself so I figured why not!

Berry Blue

Hey all! Just a fast look with some goodies from various places around the grid. Sweet Leonard has out this gorgeous jeweled necklace and ring set. This set comes in four pretty colors including the Berry color I'm showing off. I decided to be colorful and pair it with Collabor88's House of Fox's silk romper and Wasabi Pills cutesy Claudette hair. Be sure to check out all of these finds!

I'm also showing off Al Vulo's newest skin release in Sunkissed. It's called Cecilia and it's available at Black Fair. Cecilia comes in 5 different makeups plus Al Vulo has been nice enough to place out another makeup as a free gift available exclusively at the event. If you're in the market for a new skin, check this baby out!

Finally, today's pics are taken at Isabelli Anatine's new Kitten's Heaven sim. If you remember, Isabelli won 2nd place in the SL Birthday contest and was awarded a homestead as a prize. She is going to open the homestead to the public real soon and as you can see from the pictures I've taken, it's absolutely adorable so be sure to keep your eye out for this opening.

Teeny Weeny Polka Dot Bikini

Hi readers! I've got lots of newness to show off to you. The newly reopened Filthy has out a second version of their adorable Alicia skin. This skin comes with tons of extras and I think it has a cute youthful face so be sure to go to Filthy and check it out. I paired it with one of my favorite hairs from Lamb at Hair Fair. I love the casual waves and length of this baby so much.

2. What is the last song you hear on your radio/ipod? (non-video): I don't remember! Don't hate me! It was on my way home from work last night at 6AM!

3. What is the last song you sing along on top of your lung?: Longview by Green Day...I sing everything I love that comes on the radio but I kind of had a drum solo with this one too yesterday...*looks embarrassed* while stuck in traffic on the expressway.

4. What is the one song you must listen everyday?: I don't have any I have to listen to everyday. I have favorites but I don't die from lack of listening.

5. What is/are the main song(s) that make you want to skip the playlist or change the station?: When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars, As Long As You Love Me by Justin Bieber, Beautiful by Mariah Carey, Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, oh God there are so many!

6. Song that reflects your life: Don't Let Me Get Me by Pink

7.  Song that stuck in you head (doesn’t matter you love or hate): Heart Attack by Demi Lovato because it's my daughter's current favorite song. 

8. Song that you wish someone special (especially the singers themselves) serenaded only you with: Rhythm In My Soul by Jonny Craig because it's me and Carter's song and honestly if I was getting serenaded by the singer, Carter'd have to be there so he could fanboy Jonny.

9. Song that makes you wish it is written for you: :D I've had songs written for me. I'm a lucky girl. 

10. Song that always make you cry: Angel by Sarah McLachlan. They play it for the abused animals commercial here and it makes me bawl every time I hear it. Another one that makes me cry always is The Christmas Shoes by Newsong. Just listen to the lyrics and if you don't cry, you're a heartless person! Also, My Wish by Rascal Flatts is special to me and makes me tear up because it makes me think of my daughter.

Tear My Yellow Dress And Cry And Cry For You

Ok, I seriously can't get this song out of my head so yeah using it for a blog title. I've got a bunch of The Dressing Room Fusion goodies to show off mixed in with some cuteness from Tee*fy that is still available for a few more days at Collabor88.

Al Vulo has out this pretty peacock makeup version of her previously released Aisha skin in sunkissed at TDRF. I love the bare glossy lips of this baby and the eye makeup is very subtle against the warm tone of this skin. As always, Al Vulo's TDRF offering comes complete with brown and blonde brows as well as Lola Tango appliers and pretty eyes so if you're looking for a bargain, go grab this pretty girl.

A Skin Fair Sneak Peek: Izzie's

As most of you are aware, Skin Fair 2013 starts on March 15th and will run till the 31st. Covering 2 sims, this event features newness and specials from most of your favorite skin designers. I was lucky enough to get my hands on this adorable Asian inspired skin with a dewy face from Izzie's. Her name aptly is Asia and she comes in 6 tones including my favorite one, Pale (shown in my style pics), designed specifically for Gingers.

The 4 main tones of light, medium, peach, and tan come with 4 brow options, the pale Ginger themed one comes with a special freckled version, and the dark tan version comes with just the dark brows.

I decided to mix and match the eyeshadows and lipsticks you receive with each skin to give you an idea of the many options this pretty girl has. One of the best things about Izzie's skins is that when you buy one, you get all of the makeups. Most skins charge per makeup so to me, this is a huge incentive to try Izzie's out if you haven't already so mark your calendar for this awesome event!

There's No Place Like Home

So recently Riley and I bought land and I've been trying to get it perfect. It's 1/4 of a homestead and in my opinion, it's a beautiful place. I can't wait till we are finished fixing it up but tonight we just wanted to talk so work was put on hold. I was initially going to do a post by myself but when Riley saw me dressed up in this pretty dress by Cynful available at My Attic, he wanted to be too and then of course, I had to include him in the pics because I thought he looked really hot in his new suit and I love that I finally get to use some of these nice couples poses I've collected through the months. This one is by the now closed store, Magnifique, but you can still nab it on Marketplace.

Now I gotta mention this hair. It's one of Exile's newer releases and omg! I love it! I love the soft flowy volumized look of it and the length is just perfect in my opinion. There is nothing like sexy hair and Exile really nailed it with this one. I think it's my fave hair of the year so far actually!
