Getting Ready For Halloween

It’s a typical dreary, autumn day here today. You know, the kind with grey skies and lots of falling leaves. It made me realize that Halloween will be here before I know it so I decided to decorate today by placing out a few jack o’lanterns that I carved. Halloween is probably my second favorite holiday after Christmas of course and there is nothing I like to do better then sit on my steps with a big bowl of candy by the flickering light of a nicely carved pumpkin and admire all of the creative costumes the trick or treaters wear. Since I’m a nice person and don’t want to frighten the kiddies too much, I decided to make my pumpkins look not too scary. What do you think?

A Little Peek at Black Only

I don't know about you but when I go to a store, my fingers automatically hover over the item in the color black. It's one of my favorite colors and as they say, it does go with mostly everything making it easy to match with other pieces I have in my wardrobe. Lucky for me, the Black Only event is starting on October 15th and features only black items for sale. This means I won't feel guilty for buying other colors because there won't be any other options! This event will run till Halloween and you can read more about it here on their Facebook page.

So Blue

The weather has been really icky here the last few days and it combined with other things have put me in a dreary, blue mood. I'm not usually the emo type, I try to make my SL a happy place but sometimes you can't help but feel a little sad so that's been me for the last 24 hours or so. Since I am in a gloomy mood, I decided to do a blue/grey post and [trs] recently released these softly textured asymmetrical sweaters in a blue/grey pattern so it was a win. I paired it with Collabor88 cuteness from LaViere in the form of this cutesy little crown and this pert new hair called Katie. When I saw it, I knew I'd have to have it because Katie is my RL name and I love the caramel tone so much, I'm sure I'll be back to LaViere for more hair awesomeness.The rest of my look is in the form of freebies. The necklace is the newest group gift from Sweet Leonard (yes, there is a 60L fee to join but it's well worth it!) and the mesh jeans are a hunt prize from Ricielli. Yay for fabulous freebies!

I wanted a rainy sim to take my pictures in and while browsing Flickr, I noticed that one of my contacts had posted pictures of this very different looking place. It's called Cica and it's fabulous. I felt like I was in a child's drawing and it was so much fun to explore this sim. Of course, my favorite part of this location was the heart shaped rain falling from one section so that's where I took my pics. Since I'm from the States, I sometimes forget that it's not Autumn in some places. I crashed my male bestie's house, who is actually in the Southern Hemisphere, (thanks X & Lici for allowing me to take pics at your lovely house!) and he decided to crash my pic in all his hamstery goodness.

This simple shirtdress comes in 5 pretty patterns and is Demise of Flight's first clothing release. I loved the light airy feel of the daisy pattern so I'm showing that off but there is a little something for everyone.
