Indian Scout

Boldly etched on the sunset sky,
       An Indian Scout on frozen horse!
He gazes across the years at us . . .
       His tribe is gone, yet no remorse.
In naked flesh, with sinews lithe,
       His comely legs his horse bestride;
Pride of his race, pride of the West,
       And time stands still . . .with him we ride.

--Edgar Linton.

Matoluta Sanctuary will be hosting a Masau Dance on August 8th from 4PM - 8PM SLT to raise awareness about and to celebrate the Native American cultureA Masau dance is a Cheyenne tradition which goes back to the time when the Cheyenne came into the black hills or, what is known as the 'badlands'. A Masau dance is represented by animals and animal people through dance so this event should be a lot of fun. Native American attire is required for this party for this group only party and this outfit that Sem is wearing (Shh, don't tell him I was sneakily taking pics of him!) is available for sale at Harm's Way at a special promo price for this event so if you're interested in going, be sure to check it out!
